Cable app won't load on iphone

I use andoroid phones so borrowed a friends old iphone running ios 10.3.4. It doesn't have a SIM but I connected to the wifi and downloaded the cable util app  When i try to run it immediately crashes. Notwithstanding the fact that as to why would anyone not develop and Android version in 2021... any thoughts on why this is not working.

  Hi Geoff - iOS 10.3.4 is a very old iOS, and there is an integration in CABLE Util that requires newer iOS versions. We don't have an Android version of CABLE Util currently, but we do have one planned. We do note on our website that there is not an Android version of the app.

  Can you provide an ETA for the Android App?  You have the Configurez app for the Runn, but nothing for the CABLE device.  I'm in the same situation now, as I updated my old iPad and tried to update the version of the CABLE Util that was working on the iPad. With no rollback feature, I now have a CABLE Util app that crashes.  I'm not buying an iOS device just to update the CABLE device.

  Hi Thom - We don't have an Android version of CABLE Util currently, but we do have one planned. I do not currently have an exact timeline for that. We are removing the feature that we believe causes the compatibility issues in a CABLE Util update that is currently being worked on, so this should work on older iOS devices.

  OK, great!  If I can continue using my old iPad, I'm fine, but with so many users not having an iOS device, the sooner an app is available through Android, the better.  In the meantime, I'll look out for the update to theCABLE Util.
