No incline or cadence with latest firmware 3.1.8

With the latest firmware, I get no incline or cadence data from Runn in Zwift anymore. In GymTrakr, incline is always -0.1%. I tried a factory reset and calibration. Before the firmware update, Runn recently sometimes stopped reporting speed, and needed switching to the "detect strip mode" to start reporting speed. Sometimes all worked just fine. This was a recent (last couple weeks) development, everything used to work great. No other changes in my setup whatsoever. Any advice on how to fix this issue?
