How many reflective stickers for accuracy?

Hi, I’m curious to know if we need many reflective stickers to improve accuracy, and if so, do they need to be equally spaced ? What’s the minimum number of reflective stickers recommendation, and is the number dependent on the length of the treadmill?

  We typically recommend 3-4 sensor strips at least 12 inches apart. However if you want to add more to increase the frequency of your speed updating, just make sure that there are at least 12 inches between the stickers. Runn has 2 optical sensors and determines the speed based off it passing underneath these sensors, thus nothing is dependent upon your treadmill belt.

  Hi Erin,

  Great, thanks for the information. That’s great the the speed (velocity :-) ) is calculated via the two sensors, and independent of the treadmill length.

  I’ll be sure to respect the minimum separation distance of 12 inches.
