Hi Peter, tried mine today on Ant+ and experienced the same. Are you using Android Zwift or Windows?

I'm using Ant+ with Widows 10 on ZWIFT. I'm using Ant+ with my Garmin 910

I have the same setup as Peter but use my HRM run.

So you suggest using the companion app as a BRIDGE using BT for the RUNN data but keep my ant+ HRM connected for HR data?

Hi Lee! Yes, that is correct. If that does not work, you can connect your Runn to GymTrakr via Bluetooth and then continue using ANT+ with Zwift.

I tried using Zwift Companion app via BT but it still didn't record cadence. I don't use GymTracker

This doesn't sound great... when and how do you expect to come up with a firmware fix for this guys?

Peter, does it not even show cadence in the app on your phone?

Hi Lee - We have identified the cause of this issue and are working on updating and testing this firmware and we will have an app that will distribute the firmware when it is available. Keep an eye out on our social medias like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn, we will post when the firmware and app are available as well as instructions on how to do this. We have a Runn subscribers list that will be e-mailed when the update and app are available: https://npe-inc.us12.list-manage.com/subscribe?u=1f8ebb15e6872278403871141&id=2b6329559e.

Hi Peter - I am going to open a support ticket so I can help you with this!

    Hello,

Unfortunately I have exactly the same problem.

On Windows 10 ANT+ PC with Zwift although the Runn is recognized for both speed and cadence, only the speed is transmitted.

With Companion on a Samsung S10 in bluetooth the cadence is not transmitted either.

With Zwift on the S10 same problem.

And finally with GymTracker on S10 only the speed is visible, no cadence nor more incline ...

    Thanks for your quick help.

    Sportingly, Pascal.

This is strange, looks like NPE did a firmware update at some point without testing it?

So we have no cadence and now no incline? Pascal, are you sure the incline is not within the file?

Bit of an expensive speed sensor innit! :(

Hi Lee - We have not released a firmware update yet, but we have one that we are working on testing that will solve these issues.

OK so I restarted, reset and re everything and did a run with cadence... Unfortunately it didn't change at all the whole run even though I did a higher interval in the middle... Getting something but it stayed at 208!! I run at about 140>160

So I managed to get the cadence to work by using ant+ for cadence but BT Bridge (companion app) for speed.

This makes it work and is pretty responsive.

I actually then paired the cadence & speed the other way around but the cadence wasn't as responsive to change... but it worked!

So in summary, use both ant+ and BT, if you try and use one method for both it doesn't like it.

I tried my Runn for the first time tonight with Runcline. The incline, distance and speed worked but the Cadence value was 330 SPM I am not that fast! I imported the data into Garmin connect via a .fit. Has anyone had a similar problem ?

Hi Warwick - We are working on testing this firmware. However because of the current global health crisis, there might be some delays in being able to get this firmware out.

How does RUNN connect to ZWIFT COMPANION APP? I'm looking for a manual, but can't find it.
Can you put in the forum the steps to follow to make the connection?
Yesterday I was doing a session with ZWIFT connected to Windows 10 with ant + and with COMPANION activated.
I only had speed data, no rest I do not know if it is connected correctly.

If you have companion app running and Bluetooth enabled then it's done automatically. When you go into pairing screen you should see the BT icon in the top left and there will be BT connections available in the pairing screens

Where is the pairing screen in Companion? I only have seen it on my pc when I statr Zwift. When I turn on companinon I see on the top rigth of the screen a BT icon orange. I don't know if Runn is connected or not.

The pairing screen in Windows, you just have companion running, you don't have to do anything in companion

Just start Zwift as usual and you'll see the BT option in the screens.

On the other hand I have installed the GymTrakr app on my Iphone to see if RUNN detects the cadence. I have not managed to see my cadence, I have seen all the parameters except the cadence, that is, there is no section in the app to be able to consult it.

Well this is really odd. 2 weeks ago the cadence miraculously started to work. I even changed my cadence to see if it was accurate. The following day I didn't have cadence. I haven't seen it since. There was a Zwift update today, I thought it would fix the cadence. It didn't.

The cadence has never detected me, the only way I have to see the cadence is to connect it through GymTrakr. The truth is that this is quite awkward, and that Runn is supposed to send the cadence data to Zwift. I hope there will be a device firmware update soon that allows good communication between Zwift and Runn ...

Hi Nicolás! There is a firmware update available that resolves needing to connect via Bluetooth in order to get cadence data. You can download Configurez on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store now.

I just did the firmware update. Be forewarned, it takes a long time on Android. I hope to be able to try it out tomorrow

I can confirm that the cadence firmware update is working for me with Zwift. It is a little quirky at first only catching 1/2 of my foot strikes but it seems like once I get warmed up and my pace picks up, it is accurate.

Hi Peter, so are you using just BT, just Ant+... or a mixture of both?

    Cheers

@Lee, I am just using Ant+ with Windows 10 and Zwift. It appears to pick up, pace, cadence and elevation fine
