Mounting the NPE Runn sensor underneath my treadmill

I see that my treadmill belt is exposed when looking from underneath the deck. I could probably mount the sensor there so that there's no risk of me hitting it. Could this mounting position impact the sensor in anyway? Incline detection and cadence would be of concern because the sensor would be upside down.

  Great question! Our clip was broken within the first 7 days and we haven't been able to use it since!  Underneath the tread would be a great solution.
