Heartbeatz app keeps stops sending HR when battery at 50%

I get about 3 months of riding with my Heartbeatz with a fresh battery before it gets to about 50%. Then my Apple Watch Heartbeatz app goes into a cycle of making a sound, stopping the acquisition of my HR, and requires me to look at my watch to get it to acquire HR again. This cycle is about 3 minutes and when I'm riding it's very annoying. I'd like a mode that tells the app to run the battery into the ground trying to send HR to my bike computer. I really don't want to keep replacing my battery when it's only 50%.
