I just installed my Runn on our manual speedfit treadmill. Connected to my Garmin and it shows 13kmh at a walking pace! I then checked on the GymTrakr app and same thing. I performed a factory reset and re-checked and it is still massively inaccurate! As this is a manual treadmill I have no way of calibration at a steady 5mph. Any ideas as to why this would be so inaccurate out of the box? Improving accuracy was the entire reason for this purchase. Largely disappointed at this stage with the product!

Was excited to get the Runn to supplement my Zwift treadmills for better accuracy. So far I am underwhelmed. Took three attempts to calibrate to my treadmill. Finally got it finished and paired with Zwift and performed the Zwift in-app calibration. To test I ran 1/2 mile at 6.5 mph treadmill speed, which should correspond to ~8:57/mile. During my Zwift run the speed bounced around from 0.0 to 7.9 mph and everywhere in between. Never held a constant speed for more than 2-3 secs. After a 1/2 mile run, average pace on Zwift was 9:55/mile, 1:00/mile off. Would love suggestions on how to improve accuracy. As of now, it’s no better what my Apple Watch records.

Same issue as Mike S above with my recently set up Runn.  Runn is measuring speed significantly higher (~60%) than treadmill speed.  Also, I noticed via the GymTrakr app that the speed registers in the app when the stickers pass under (using 3 stickers) and then drops to zero in GymTrakr when no sticker passing.  is this normal?

Have also got the same issue as Mike S above. I'm not convinced, how can I calibrate to 5mph if the treadmill cannot be trusted in the first instance? Very disappointed, I thought this was plug and play out of the box with no need for calibration. Have opened a help desk ticket, will see how we get on.

Just installed my Runn on a curved motorless treadmill and it shows ridiculously slow paces. Tried calibrating it on a motorized treadmill and seems fine but when it's back on the curved mill goes crazy again. I can sprint full throttle at 10 minutes per mile according to it. Also it doesn't measure cadence and elevation is stuck at - 10.

I am also having the same issue as Mike and it’s frustrating. I also can’t seem to get anything to reset to try and start all over again. The Configurez app won’t let me recalibrate.. ugh

Got mine today and very frustrated. No matter where I put the device and sensors, it doesn't toggle between the left and right lights to show the strips are detected. In fact, the left light has never lit up at all, no matter how many times I turn the thing off and on. I tried the factory reset and same result. It connects to my watch just fine. I did a run but no idea if it did anything or if it was just the data from my watch while I was running.

    Hallo,
I have exactly the same problem as melissa anderson. In my case it seemed to work for 2 minutes , the left and right led turned on and off. Then nothing . Now if you turn on the system . With the double tap it is on but then you are not able to start sendoring with the single tap. Its really a dissapointing experience.
Especcially for me because with all the taxes and the transport to Germany it was not quite cheap. Best regards Tarek

Hi Tarek - Sensor strip detection mode only lasts for approximately 1 minute, so the LEDs will only toggle for about that amount of time if your Runn is picking up sensor strips. So frustrated with this product.  I bought this to be able to run on Zwift.  Right out of the box it worked fine measuring my per mile pace within a couple of seconds of what my treadmill was set too.  Did my first usb charge, and my last 3 runs the sensors are picking up per mile speeds 15-30 different that the treadmill.

I did a calibration, and still get the same result.  I increased the speed, and the difference got even larger as the speeds went up.  I did a factory reset, because right out of the box I plugged and played and that was when I had the most accuracy.  Although after calibration my base incline shows 3.1% when the treadmill is flat.  Maybe it is user error, but reading all of these negative comments it does not seem I am alone in my frustration.

I'm afraid I'd have to echo some comments here.
The unit is a royal PITA to setup.
I did get it setup though, and calibrated incline several times as well.
When walking slow in Zwift, it picked up nicely up to 2.4mph. As soon as I picked up speed it dropped, then came back again, then dropped.
When trying to calibrate Zwift to the sensor, it just errored after a few seconds on the first pass!
With my Garmin Fenix 5, even though connected, it failed to transmit any distance/speed data at all. Dropping in and out. Not experienced unreliability like this over ANT+ with my other Garmin sensors on bike, or HR strap, or running pod.
I'm going to have another look tomorrow, as I've spent too many frustrating hours trying to get this setup.
I wanted this as it transmits over bluetooth to Zwift and to Garmin via ANT+.
So far it doesn't appear to be doing either very well.

Hi, Publicly, I'd like to repost and just comment that the error above, was a user error, rather than an NPE-Runn error(!)
I did however find better instruction on the Zwift site, and when I followed this, it fixed it! I think, for whatever reason, calibrating it previously, just didn't work. At 5mph though, two presses and then a third, seemed to do the trick.
Zwift worked, and so did my Garmin Fenix 5 over Ant+.
Nice. Next time, I'll be more patient before I post. Thanks for the offer of support. Hopefully, I won't need it!!!!!

Hi Adrian - I would recommend also downloading our Configurez app, which is available on the Apple App Store & Google Play Store. There are 3 point calibration processes that separate incline and speed calibration, and you don't have to mess with button presses.

Hi, yes, I did this initially, and this didn't help at the start. This evening though, worked like a dream, as I ran the treadmill, with Zwift, and checked the speed on Configurez, and it was spot on.
